Discovery Park (the home to our Sol Blume music festival) has been flooded due to severe weather storms and record-breaking rainfall. Our team has continued to work closely with local officials to monitor the status of the park and assess its ability to host our beloved festival.
As another round of rainfall hit the area last week, park officials notified us that we would not be able to host the event as scheduled in the interest of public safety. Upon receiving the news, we immediately began working to find a way to keep Sol Blume 2023 a reality. Our team has explored all options to keep the current dates and unfortunately, we could not find a viable alternative home this April and had to pivot to rescheduling
After working with the City of Sacramento, Park officials, and performing artists, we are able to move forward by rescheduling this year’s festival to August 19 – 20, 2023 at our original home in Discovery Park. Taking into consideration the amount of time, energy, and money all of us including attendees, artists, staff, and partners have put into this year’s festival, we are heartbroken that we had to make such a big change so close to the date. We understand this news may be received differently by each and every one of you, and respect the decisions that need to be made as a result of this date change. Our team has put in countless hours of work since wrapping last year’s event in order to make this year the most epic festival experience yet for our Blumers and don’t want any of you to miss out.
All 2023 festival tickets purchased are still valid and will be automatically transferred to the new date. We are working closely with local hotels to make changing your reservations to the new date as seamless as possible.
Our goal has always been to make our Sol Blumers feel at home and although we all have to wait a little bit longer this year for the family reunion, we know it’s going to be the best one yet. See you in August!
